John Batalis, co-President
John serves as one of three co-Presidents of the EMS Club, where he focuses primarily on club events and activities related to Sports. Among other responsibilities, John will be the co-Lead Organizer for the 2010 Sports Analytics Conference.
As a first-year student, John was active in the club as Managing Vice President of Logistics and lead of the "Sports in a Recession" panel for the 2009 Sports Analytics Conference, a member of the Boston Celtics SportsLab team, and an attendee of the 2008 New York Trek.
This past summer, John worked at Staples, where he worked in the Corporate Strategy group. Prior to business school, John worked at The Parthenon Group, a boutique management consulting firm based in Boston and then in sales and operations management roles at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Company, a large textbook publisher. Greg Korbas, co-President

Jesse Chow, Vice President of Entertainment and Media
Jesse serves as Vice President of Entertainment and Media for the EMS Club, where he focuses primarily of club events and activities related to Entertainment and Media. Among other things, Jesse serves as Sloan's representative for the MBA Media and Entertainment Conference.
In his first year, Jesse consulted with Time, Inc. in a marketing capacity and was a member of a 2009 finalist team for NASA Means Business branding competition.
Jesse came to MIT Sloan having worked in film distribution and marketing for Warner Brothers. He managed in-theatre marketing for Warner Independent Pictures, which included the campaign for "March of the Penguins", the 2005 Academy-Award winning documentary feature. This summer, Jesse worked as a brand management graduate associate for Disney Channels Worldwide focusing on supporting the global expansion of the new Disney XD boys' network and the branding strategies for preschool children and original movies. He has a BA in cinema-television from the University of Southern California.

Ben Schlesinger, Vice President of Sports
Ben serves as Vice President of Sports for the EMS Club, where he helps to organize activities such as the Speaker Series and the New York Trek. Ben will also play a key role on the organizing committee for the 2010 Sports Analytics Conference.
In his first year, Ben was a Media Track Lead for the 2008 New York Trek, Managing Vice President of Marketing and lead of the "Baseball Analytics" panel for the 2009 Sloan Sports Analytics Conference, and worked on a lab project for HBO studying innovations in television.

He was responsible for reviewing Verizon's product strategy and evaluating the link between the product pipeline and the company's long-term strategy. Deirdre Hatfield, Vice President of Special Projects
Deirdre serves as Vice President of Special Projects for the EMS Club, where she helps to organize special club activities, such as the EMS Golf Tournament and the SportsLab program. Deirdre will also play a key role on the organizing committee for the 2010 Sports Analytics Conference.
In her first year, Deirdre was active in the club as lead of the "Careers in Sports" and "Talent Identification" panels for the 2009 Sports Analytics Conference, a member of the Boston Bruins SportsLab team, and an attendee of the 2008 NY EMS Trek.
Over the summer, Deirdre worked in Strategic Planning for Converse in North Andover, MA and also consulted for Titleist in their sponsorship division, where she evaluated players, statistics, and extensive data in order to build a prediction model.
Prior to business school, Deirdre worked at Fidelity Investments in Boston, MA. Deirdre played Division I college golf, first in the Big XII Conference at Texas Tech University and later at Boston University where she was captain. Under her leadership, Boston University won their first and second ever team conference championships and Deirdre became the first player at Boston University to take individual medalist honors.
